Multi-zoned Background Music System installation to create a relaxed environment within the shopping mall public areas.
The centre was lacking a vibrant atmosphere, therefore in late 2021 Excite AV were employed by OnBrand to supply and install a full BGM system.
Enhancing the Shopping Experience: A Vibrant Audio Transformation at Buttermarket, Ipswich
The works carried out by Excite AV included was the second fix, commissioning & handover to the client. When the project came about, we worked closely with the builders & electrician’s during the re-fit, as the electricians were pulling in all first fix cableling for us.
This Audio BGM consisted of four zones with 100v line speakers, local volume control remotes & a tannoy microphone to ensure levels are correct within the centre for the audio playback, centre message and mic announcements.
As the centre had high ceilings, we opted for a TOA Electronics audio system for head end control and the speakers we chose were also TOA cabinet speakers, mounted high up within the walkways. Each zone had around 10-20 speakers in each zone and the coverage was perfect for the audio playback.
The client was hoping to achieve a more upbeat environment within the centre and that’s what we delivered.
Since the installation we have had positive feedback from OnBrand that the centre is more vibrant than ever, and the music system has been a great investment.
