Excite Technology Ltd was appointed by Code Concepts Edinburgh to design, supply and install a complete audio visual solution for a brand-new events and collaboration space within their Edinburgh facility.
The project involved creating a modern, flexible environment capable of supporting public events, presentations, meetings, training sessions and multimedia experiences. Working closely with Meg and the wider Code Concepts team, Excite Technology designed a multi-zone AV system that incorporated professional audio, large-format displays, video conferencing technology and digital signage throughout the facility.
The Challenge
Code Concepts was developing a new events space that would be used for public events, networking sessions, training workshops, cinema-style screenings and corporate meetings.
The new areas required multiple AV systems that would work both independently and together. Key requirements included multi-zone audio distribution, background music from the existing Startle music platform, integration with the site’s existing audio system, flexible source selection, independent volume control, large-format display technology, professional video conferencing facilities and digital signage.
Our Solution
Following consultation with the client and a detailed review of the venue requirements, Excite Technology designed and installed a complete multi-zone audio visual solution across four key areas.
Events Space Audio System
A professional multi-zone audio system was installed using Cloud Electronics and Ecler Audio equipment. The system provides high-quality background music, supports multiple audio sources, integrates with the existing site-wide audio system, allows local source selection and provides independent volume control. The venue’s existing Startle music platform was fully integrated into the design.
Cinema Room
To create an immersive presentation and screening environment, Excite Technology supplied and installed a large-format Hisense 100-inch display.
The cinema room system was integrated with the venue’s audio infrastructure, allowing content to be presented with powerful, high-quality sound while maintaining ease of operation for venue staff.
Meeting Room Video Conferencing Solution
The meeting room was equipped with a 55-inch professional display and a Yea link video bar solution.
Users can simply connect their laptop and run meetings using MicrosoftTeams, Zoom and Google Meet. The system was designed to be simple, intuitive and reliable for all users.
Entrance Digital Signage Display
A 43-inch commercial display was installed within the entrance area to promote venue facilities, events and services.
The display provides a professional first impression for visitors while allowing venue staff to update content quickly and easily.
The Installation
The project was delivered by Excite Technology’s in-house design and installation team. The scope included AV system design, equipment supply, audio system integration, display installation, video conferencing configuration, programming, testing, commissioning and end-user training.
The Result
The completed project successfully transformed the new areas into a modern, flexible and highly functional environment. The client now benefits from professional multi-zone audio, integrated background music and source management, a dedicated cinema and presentation space, high-quality video conferencing facilities and digital signage for visitor engagement.
Most importantly, the project delivered another successful outcome for Meg and the wider Code Concepts team, who continue to trust Excite Technology across multiple venues within their group.
