Scope of AV project

Who is the client?
Tony (Managing Director) at The Waterfront, approached us via the phone, asking if we could attend for a site survey. The restaurant is a beautiful seafood restaurant & bar located on the Hythe sea front. Offering the chance to dine on fine cuisine with stunning surroundings.

Excite AV were contacted by Tony to come down to Hythe Bay and address the audio system in his soon to open restaurant. Tony had existing kit and wanted us to design a new system whilst utilising what we could from his current hardware.
What was installed?
All kit was provided by the client initially. We provided some further Bose speakers, the design of the system & the labour to install all kit it in the restaurant.
Existing Kit:
2 x Cloud CX263
1 x Cloud CXA4 power amp
2 x Bose DS16F
6 x Bose DS16S
We ran new speaker cabling, positioned the speakers to provide sufficient coverage for background levels. Once we were happy with the speaker positions we then commissioned the system ready for testing.
All sounded great & Tony was very happy.

Then to go as far as to say have they got any future plans to work with Excite Audio Visual Ltd?

Tony has several bars (London and other locations) and took business card for any potential future works.

What products were used?

Tony came back to us in April 2021 as he was looking to supplement his current audio system with additional speakers in the outside area of his seafood restaurant. With the current Covid restrictions only allowing outside dining this was quite urgent and we were happy to help.

We installed a four Bose Freespace FS2SE surface mount speakers at the front of the restaurant. We added a Cloud VMA 120W Mixer amplifier to for these additional speakers only. We linked the input into the current system using pigtail phonos.

The new speakers looked great on the outside area facing the sea and sounded fantastic as well.

Further Design, Supply & Install – April 2021

We installed a four Bose Freespace FS2SE surface mount speakers at the front of the restaurant woodwork, nicely positioned between the lighting fixtures.
To power the speakers we added a BOSE Mixer Amp to power these additional speakers. To complete the addition we linked the mixer amp into the current system, so the audio source matched the inside restaurant BGM.

The new speakers looked great on the outside area facing the sea and sounded fantastic as well.

Any future plans to work with Excite Audio Visual Ltd?

Whilst we were at the restaurant on the April 2021 visit, owner Tony asked us to provide a quote for a projector system inside the restaurant so he could display sporting events over the summer. So hopefully we will be back on the sea front soon!
