Project Overview

Excite Technology Ltd was appointed to design, supply and install a complete technology solution for Pizza Pilgrims’ new Bristol restaurant.

The project included a multi-zone audio system, CCTV infrastructure and a ChefCam solution to enhance both operations and customer engagement. This represents another successful project within Pizza Pilgrims’ growing UK estate, with more than 25 sites now operating with systems designed and installed by Excite Technology.

The Challenge

Pizza Pilgrims required a fully integrated technology solution that would support restaurant operations while enhancing the customer experience. The project required a professional audio system, reliable CCTV coverage, a ChefCam display solution and close coordination with the construction and electrical teams to ensure successful delivery within the overall fit-out programme.

Our Solution

Following consultation with the client, Excite Technology designed a complete integrated technology package tailored specifically to the venue’s operational requirements.

Detailed first-fix drawings were produced and issued to the electrical contractor to ensure all containment and cabling infrastructure was correctly installed prior to our second-fix attendance.

Audio System

A professional Ecler Audio system was installed throughout the venue to provide high-quality background music, zoned audio control and simple day-to-day operation. The system was designed specifically for the hospitality environment and integrated seamlessly into the restaurant layout.

CCTV System

A HIKVISION CCTV solution was supplied and installed to provide comprehensive security and operational monitoring throughout the venue. The system delivers high-definition recording, reliable performance and remote viewing capabilities.

ChefCam System

The ChefCam solution utilised HIKVISION camera technology together with Hisense commercial displays to showcase live food preparation within the restaurant. This feature helps reinforce the Pizza Pilgrims open-kitchen experience and creates additional customer engagement.

Design & Coordination

Excite Technology worked closely with the Pizza Pilgrims construction team throughout the project. Detailed technology drawings were provided to support first-fix works, allowing the electrical contractor to install the required infrastructure before our engineers returned for second fix and commissioning.

The Installation

The project was delivered as a second-fix and commissioning package. Our engineers completed the installation of all audio, CCTV and ChefCam equipment, followed by programming, testing, commissioning and final handover to the client.

The Result

The completed installation delivered a fully integrated technology solution that supports both restaurant operations and the customer experience. The Bristol venue now benefits from professional background music, reliable CCTV coverage and an engaging ChefCam feature, all designed to provide long-term reliability and ease of use.
