The Client

Having worked alongside the Pizza Pilgrims team across their expanding portfolio of restaurants, we were delighted to support another exciting opening in the North of England. Pizza Pilgrims now operates approximately 27 restaurants across England, Scotland and Wales, with Excite Technology Ltd providing ongoing support for their audiovisual, CCTV, ChefCam and live-streaming systems across many of their sites.

Working from architectural CAD drawings during the construction phase, our team produced detailed AV hardware layouts, CCTV layouts, speaker locations, DJ connection points, ChefCam positioning and complete system wiring diagrams. This enabled the electrical contractor to complete all first-fix containment and cabling accurately before our in-house engineers returned to install, configure and commission every system.

Four-Zone Ecler Audio System

The restaurant was equipped with a fully zoned Ecler commercial audio system, designed to deliver exceptional background music throughout both customer and staff areas. The installation included:

  • Four independent audio zones.
  • Individual source selection and volume control for each floor.
  • Dedicated DJ input points on every floor.
  • A combination of Ecler Emotus 50D and Emotus 80D wall-mounted loudspeakers, plus IC6i ceiling speakers.
  • Central equipment rack on the second floor housing the amplification, audio processing and control equipment

The result is a flexible, easy-to-use sound system that delivers outstanding background music during normal trading while seamlessly supporting live entertainment and special events.

HIKVISION CCTV System

Security was another key element of the project, with Excite Technology Ltd designing and installing a comprehensive HIKVISION CCTV solution to provide reliable monitoring across the restaurant. The installation included:

  • 15 strategically positioned HIKVISION cameras
  • Coverage of key customer, staff and operational areas
  • Central recording and management equipment located within the second-floor communications area

The completed system delivers excellent image quality, reliable recording and remote management capabilities, giving the Pizza Pilgrims team complete visibility and peace of mind.

ChefCam Live Kitchen Experience

One of Pizza Pilgrims’ signature features is the ChefCam experience, allowing guests to watch fresh pizzas being prepared live from the kitchen.

To bring this interactive feature to life, Excite Technology Ltd supplied and commissioned a complete live video solution.

The installation included:

  • HIKVISION camera positioned above the pizza preparation area
  • 55″ Hisense commercial display
  • Ecler HDMI transmitter and receiver system
  • Complete structured cabling infrastructure

The system delivers a live video feed directly from the kitchen to the restaurant display, creating an engaging and interactive dining experience while showcasing the craftsmanship behind every pizza.

Designed for Long-Term Growth

Every aspect of the installation was carefully coordinated from the initial design stage through to final commissioning. Detailed CAD drawings, equipment layouts and wiring schedules ensured a smooth installation programme, allowing the electrical contractor to complete the first-fix works efficiently before our in-house engineers carried out the second-fix installation, system programming and final commissioning to Excite Technology Ltd’s exacting standards.

We are incredibly proud of the long-standing relationship we have built with Pizza Pilgrims and are delighted to have supported another successful restaurant opening. As the brand continues to grow across the UK, we look forward to delivering professional audiovisual, commercial audio, CCTV and live-streaming solutions for many more Pizza Pilgrims locations in the years ahead.
