Excite Technology was appointed to design and install a user-friendly AV system for Pleshey Village Hall, providing a flexible solution that supports a wide range of community events. The new installation delivers high-quality audio and video with intuitive operation, making it easy for volunteers and hall users to use.

Overview

Excite Technology Ltd was appointed to design and install a modern, easy-to-use audio visual system for Pleshey Village Hall. The objective was to provide a flexible solution capable of supporting a wide variety of community events, including live sporting events, quizzes, presentations, meetings and regular film nights.

The new installation delivers high-quality audio and video while remaining simple enough for volunteers and hall users to operate with minimal training.

The 85-inch Hisense Smart TV provides a bright, high-resolution display suitable for both daytime presentations and evening entertainment. By installing a dedicated wired Ethernet connection from the router to the television, the system benefits from a far more reliable internet connection than Wi-Fi, ensuring smooth streaming for live sporting events and online content.

An HDMI input wall plate allows users to quickly connect laptops for presentations, training sessions, community meetings and quiz nights without the need to access equipment behind the display.

For audio, an Ecler mixer amplifier paired with two Emotus 80D loudspeakers provides clear, evenly distributed sound throughout the hall. The system has been designed to deliver excellent speech intelligibility for presentations while also providing the performance required for films and community entertainment events.

The Solution

Following consultation with the client, Excite Technology Ltd designed and installed a complete AV system comprising:

  • 85″ Hisense Smart TV
  • Ecler mixer amplifier
  • 2 × Ecler Emotus 80D loudspeakers
  • HDMI wall input plate for guest laptop connectivity
  • Hardwired network connection from the village hall router directly to the Smart TV
  • Apple / Windows Airplay
  • Complete structured cabling and installation hardware

Installation

All system design, cabling, hardware installation, commissioning and testing were completed by Excite Technology Ltd’s in-house engineering team.
