Scope of AV project

Who is the client?
Scotsdales Garden Centres are based around the Cambridgeshire area and provide everything you need to keep your garden looking healthy and well decorated.
Excite AV were called in to work on the beautiful garden centre at the Fordham site after two successful Ecler Audio Installations at Shelford & Horningsea, which is where the Scotsdales story began, and it’s now one of the biggest garden centres in the UK.
Scotsdales at Fordham is a slightly smaller site that Shelford & Horningsea and offers an amazing selection of plants and more for everyone to explore – from fashionable homewares to cuddly toys, as well as our tempting food hall.
There is also the onsite Sunflower Café, which serves a choice of delicious meals throughout the day.
The Garden centre were however missing one thing, and this was Excite AV’s task to tackle.

Excite AV were asked to provide BGM over four zones of the Garden centre:
- Tills/Entrance
- Gifts
- Garden
- Pets

Then to go as far as to say have they got any future plans to work with Excite Audio Visual Ltd?

Over the past 3 months we have rolled out the Ecler audio systems at all three sites, so we plan to offer a service contract to Scotsdales to keep the systems well maintained over the coming years.

Cambridge AV Specialists

Using a 100v line system we installed an Ecler 4 channel amplifier, DAM 614, a Duo-Net and mic solution, all housed in a 19’ audio rack mounted to the wall in the office adjacent to the tills.

The cambridge AV system is divided the 4 zones as the client had requested. Volume can be controlled independently for each zone or controlled as one using the master volume.

The Ecler Duonet installed enables pre-recorded messages to be played across the day as well as timed music for opening hours or streaming a radio station.

A microphone was installed at the information desk for announcements in these zones.

There are areas of the garden centre where we could expand the audio system to. For example in the outside parts of the garden centre and the café. Once the Covid19 crisis is over this may be considered.
There are a further two garden centres. Hopefully they will be impressed with the work completed by Excite and require our services again.”
