Scope of AV project

Who is the client?
Scotsdales Garden Centres are based around the Cambridgeshire area and provide everything you need to keep your garden looking healthy and well decorated.
Excite AV were called in to work on the beautiful garden centre located at Horingsea.
Scotsdales at Horingsea offers an amazing selection of plants and more for everyone to explore – from fashionable homewares to cuddly toys, as well as our tempting food hall.
There is also the onsite Sunflower Café, which serves a choice of delicious meals throughout the day.
The Garden centre were however missing one thing, and this was Excite AV’s task to tackle.
What was installed?
Excite AV were asked to provide BGM over four zones of the Garden centre:
- Tills/Cards area
- Clothing and indoor plants area
- Main area (split into 2 zones)

Then to go as far as to say have they got any future plans to work with Excite Audio Visual Ltd?

Tommy the Centre Manger was very pleased with the system we installed and staff commented on the positive difference the music made.

There are areas of the garden centre where we could expand the audio system too. For example in the outside parts of the garden centre and the café. Once the Covid19 crisis is over this may be considered.

We have been signed off to proceed with the BGM install at the final garden centre in Fordham and works are due to commence in October.

Using a 100v line system we installed an Ecler 4 channel amplifier and divided the zones as the client had requested. Volume could be controlled independently for each zone or controlled as one using the master volume on the mixer.

We also used the Ecler Dam614 digital mixer along with the Ecler Duonet to enable pre-recorded messages to be played across the day as well as timed music for opening hours or streaming a radio station.

We also installed the Ecler paging mic for staff and customer announcements.
