The Client

Excite Technology Ltd recently completed the design, supply and installation of a new commercial audio and television integration system at The Nags Head in Lyme Regis.

The project was designed to provide clear, reliable audio throughout the venue while giving staff simple control over multiple areas.

The Installation

The installation was split into two independent audio zones. Zone One covers the main interior bar and pool table areas, while Zone Two serves the exterior garden overlookingLyme Regis Bay.

Professional Ecler Emotus 50D loudspeakers were selected for their excellent speech intelligibility, musical performance and discreet appearance.

A person stands on a table adjusting fairy lights under a pergola on a wooden patio at the Nags Head pub. Nearby are green picnic tables, beer barrels, clear glasses, and a blackboard on the wall—creating a welcoming scene reminiscent of coastal gatherings in Lyme Regis.

Smart Multi-Zone Audio & TV Integration

A Cloud mixer amplifier provides independent volume control for each zone, allowing staff to create the right atmosphere throughout the day. Whether showing live sport, providing background music or hosting busy evenings, the system is simple to operate and delivers consistent performance.

Six televisions were integrated into the sound system using three Sky Q boxes together with digital optical-to-phono converters, allowing TV audio to be distributed cleanly throughout the venue.
