Excite Technology was delighted to work with The Thatchers in Hatfield Heath, Essex, delivering a complete upgrade to the pub’s background music and audio system.

Project Overview

Located close to our offices, The Thatchers is a fantastic local pub and restaurant.

We were approached by the management team to carry out a site survey and recommend a reliable, easy-to-operate audio solution that would provide high-quality sound throughout the venue while allowing different areas to be controlled independently.

A thatched-roof pub called The Thatchers, with cream cladding, black trim, hanging flower baskets, wooden benches, and a small sign out front, sits on Hatfield Heath, seen on a cloudy day from across a quiet road.

System Design

Following our survey, we designed a four-zone commercial audio system based around the Cloud 46/80 4-Zone Mixer Amplifier – Low Impedance version. The system was designed to provide reliable background music throughout the venue while giving the management team simple, independent control over each area.

The system provides four independently controlled audio zones, covering three internal areas and the external seating area. This gives the team greater flexibility over background music levels, allowing each space to be adjusted to suit its atmosphere and requirements. For the external areas, we supplied and installed Ecler outdoor loudspeakers, selected to deliver clear, high-quality audio while withstanding the demands of an outdoor hospitality environment.
